About

I’m a UX and Product Designer based outside of Philadelphia with 5+ years of experience working on complex healthcare SaaS and consumer products from initial concepts through launch.

I value authenticity, collaboration, efficiency, transparency, pragmatism and of course, empathy. When given a problem to solve, I infuse these values throughout the design thinking process, especially using my go-to methods below.

Go-to Methods

  • Research

Research, of course, is an essential part of my process. I love speaking to people to truly understand their context and motivations and uncovering insights. For me, research also extends beyond the users of a product - to build the right thing, I also want to learn about the context of a team, a company, an industry, or whatever else may impact the problem space.

  • Workshops

I frequently conduct workshops with team members and stakeholders to create alignment, brainstorm, identify assumptions, generate designs, and more. Workshops ensure that everyone is on the same page, gives the opportunity for sharing diverse perspectives, and also creates investment in those solutions. They’re also a great opportunity for team-building!

  • Lean UX

Throughout my design career, I’ve simultaneously held the roles of strategist, researcher, and designer on complex projects with very tight-timelines. Lean UX strategies have been invaluable for identifying crucial hypotheses, risks and assumptions, building shared team understanding, and prioritizing design work when there isn’t enough time to do all the things you’d like to do.
